First rule of cardio for muscle gain – actually do some cardio

Picking up heavy objects and putting them down again is awesome. And, if you are working hard enough in the gym, you will raise your heart rate.

But there are huge benefits to bouts of sustained moderate intensity (or any intensity) cardio exercise. 

Like the other muscles we fixate on, the heart needs love too and exercising it regularly is vital for overall health, longevity and immune defence. 

Whether you walk, cycle, run, swim, row or whatever, do some cardio!
